Movie Review: Avengers:Age of Ultron + Watsons Heroic Trip Contest

First of all, do note that I am not an avid fan of Marvels Comics and this post is may contain spoilers. So, read it with caution =)

So, a few friends of mine finds that the villain, Ultron wasn't up to standards. If there's a villain rank chart, Ultron would had top as the last 10 best villain. The justification given was that Ultron has the ability to access the entire internet base yet he didn't freaking utilize it to his utmost potential such as gathering a bunch of other bad-asses or brainwash the citizens mind. Rather, he choose to only contact the twins and build an army of robots. Well, I gotta agree to that statement only if this movie was made into 2 parts which gives it more time for story-telling like most movies (ex:The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, The Hobbit) does now. But if they do, I would kill the production team because I personally hate when my movies are being snipped into a few parts and I have to wait for a year or more for the next part to be released. The suspense and cliff-hanging is super nerve-wrecking! Thus, I totally find this movie perfect just the way it is.

WHY I AGREE WITH MY FRIENDS
When Ultron first made its appearance, it definitely gave the chills as a super bad-ass villain especially when he said "there are no strings attached on me" in a really creepy and raspy voice. Follow suit with the awesome introduction, his villain act was a let down as he was acting so much so like a cry baby insisting the world needs to be changed through global extinction. So, to my friends who has super high expectations towards how bad-ass a villain should be, I totally understand why it was a let down to see such an amazing ability and perfect introduction not being developed to a mind-blowing villain.

WHY I DISAGREE
The movie's already 2 1/2 hours. To make Ultron a super bad-ass villain like Joker, 1) you really need an awesome actor like Heath Ledger and 2) lots of screen time for villain development. Joss Whedon and the team doesn't have that much of screen time to show case Ultron's story, even if there was, Ultron is a robot himself, what kind of development would make him super badass? Moreover, such development would definitely cause a shift on the entire idea of Ultron's vision being derived solely from Stark. On top of that, if Ultron were to be super duper bad-ass, wouldn't that make Stark a villain in disguise since they share the same vision? So, in order not to stray too far away from the equation of Ultron = Stark = Robots! Therefore, I personally think the production team did a really good job by only revolving around the idea of building a world filled with robots and having Ultron only sticking to building an entire army of robots. If the team would have inject a few other elements that strays away from the robot idea, I believe it would had cause the whole entire film to be messy and maybe even a flopped.

MUSIC
Music seriously plays a huge role in films as it helps to set the audiences into the mood and the soundtrack choices used in the Avengers: Age of Ultron movie was great. It wasn't brilliant or perfect as none of the soundtracks seeps into my head or evokes any deep emotions during and after I stepped out of the cinema hall. Also, none of them got me to start searching on my phone for it to be download. Nevertheless, it's fine.

SUMMARY
I personally believe that when you sit through for a movie, never bothered to look at the time throughout the movie or yawned and tells that the director did an amazing job in not dragging the movie that would end up boring the audiences. Clever pacing of story development with just the right amount of information for the audiences to grasp on its plot and having breathers for audiences to digest what's happening without straying the audiences attention too far from the core idea before having its finale is what makes it a great movie.

All I can say is, a great movie to go for with your buddies after a tiring week of work, study and exam. I definitely enjoyed it as it's always fun to see a bunch of super heroes saving the world. If you haven't watch it yet, you better go and catch it on the big screen because it's worth the bucks.
